NZ Dairy Dessert Company acquired Little Island Creamery
NZ Dairy Dessert Company acquired Little Island Creamery, the plant-based ice cream and coconut-based products brand, as a strategic acquisition.
Armillary, our Partner in New Zealand, advised NZ Dairy Dessert on this transaction.
The acquisition brings Little Island’s plant-based innovation together with NZ Dairy Dessert’s broader dessert portfolio, with the goal of offering a wider range of products to New Zealand consumers in the dessert category.
Background on Little Island
Little Island was founded in 2010, focusing on organic, non-dairy coconut ice cream and beverages, sold through supermarkets and speciality retailers across New Zealand (and had some export distribution).
Prior to the acquisition, the company entered liquidation in mid-2025, and its assets became available.
