AURIGE Group Acquires Verre & Métal and HEFI

The Aurige Group  has expanded its operations by acquiring Verre & Métal and HEFI, two companies specialising in the design and construction of architectural structures made of steel and glass.

Linkers, one of the M&A Worldwide Partners in France, advised Aurige Group in this acquisition.

Founded in 1921 and based in Bonneuil-sur-Marne (Île-de-France), Verre & Métal designs, manufactures, and installs custom steel and glass structures. With recognised expertise, the company has distinguished itself notably in the restoration and renovation of historic and iconic buildings, including the Grand Palais, the Eiffel Tower, the Opéra Garnier, and the Centre Pompidou.

Established in 1992 and based in Strasbourg (Grand Est), HEFI specialises in the design and construction of highly technical metalwork structures, primarily for new construction projects.

With a combined workforce of over 90 employees and annual revenue of approximately €25 million, Verre & Métal and HEFI are nationally recognised for the quality of their work and their expertise in technical glazing and complex custom structures.

Aurige is a family-owned group founded in 1944 that has grown over the years by bringing together companies and workshops renowned for their expertise. The Group offers a multi-disciplinary range of services dedicated to private and public architectural heritage, covering areas such as stone cutting, masonry, carpentry, joinery, sculpture, painting, artistic metalwork, interior fitting, and building restoration. Aurige currently generates €240 million in revenue and has a workforce of 2,000 employees, 27 subsidiaries, and nearly 70 locations across France.

The integration of Verre & Métal and HEFI enables the Group to expand its service offering and provide public and private sector clients with an even more diverse range of technical solutions. These moves align with the development strategy of an independent group capable of operating across a building’s entire lifecycle—from design and new construction to restoration, rehabilitation, and transformation.

"These acquisitions strengthen the complementary nature of our business lines and enable us to better support our clients in delivering their most demanding projects," states the Aurige Group. "By bringing together these new areas of expertise, Aurige continues to build an independent group capable of handling every stage of a building's lifecycle: design, restoration, rehabilitation, transformation, and new construction. We extend a warm welcome to all employees from Verre & Métal and HEFI as they join us on this collective journey," the Paris-based group adds.
