Aeternus assists Machinefabriek vd Elsen in its sale to industry peer WILVO GROUP

Wilvo Group acquires manufacturer of precision mechanical components and modules, Machinefabriek vd Elsen. With this, Wilvo continues to focus on extreme precision in the field of machining.

Aeternus, our Partner in the Netherlands, advised  Machinefabriek vd Elsen on this sale.

Jos Kox and Ron Luijten of Machinefabriek vd Elsen based their choice for Wilvo, among other things, on maintaining the family culture and personal commitment to employees. Wilvo is the ideal candidate for this because of its strong regional presence.

With this acquisition, Wilvo, together with investor Borromin Capital, is taking the next step in its buy & build strategy. The takeover of Machinefabriek vd Elsen is the fourth in a row. Previously, the processor of precision mechanical parts, Van den Broek Precision & Tooling, was acquired. This venture was also supervised by Aeternus.

Geert Smets:  “We are very enthusiastic that we have been able to assist the shareholders of this exceptionally wonderful company with the sale to Wilvo. Dutch machine builders in the high-tech, food and energy sectors can only meet the increasing global demand if their suppliers can offer the production capacity. This requires future-proof parties. We are convinced that Wilvo, together with Machinefabriek vd Elsen, will meet the needs of the Dutch manufacturing industry.”

The shareholders of Machinefabriek vd Elsen were guided in this process by  Geert Smets,  Dex van Gils and  Bart Jagers of Aeternus. We wish Machinefabriek vd Elsen and Wilvo Group every success in further expanding this leading collaboration.
