CCR Group wins the auction for Lot 3 of highways in Paraná from Governo do estado de São Paulo

Galapagos Capital, our MAWW partner in Brasil advised CCR Group to win the auction for Lot 3 of highways in Paraná and expands its presence in road concessions in the South of the country from Governo do Estado de São Paulo

As a result, the CCR Group now operates in the three southern states of the country.

The CCR Group, the largest mobility infrastructure company in Brazil, was the winner of the auction for the Paraná Integrated Highways - Lot 3, which comprises a set of roads that connect the north of the state to the Ponta Grossa region, connecting with the road axis towards the Port of Paranaguá (PR). The contract, with a duration of 30 years, will require investments of R$9.8 billion in works to improve and modernize road conditions. The result expands CCR Rodovias' geography in the sector and consolidates its operations in the South of the country with a presence in the three states.

To win the auction, held by the National Land Transportation Agency (ANTT) at the B3 headquarters in the capital of São Paulo, the CCR Group offered a 26.60% discount on the basic toll rate of R$0.14596 per km. This is the second highway tender that the Company has won this year. At the end of October, the Company won the concession for Rota Sorocabana, a set of roads in the interior of São Paulo, in a contest organized by the São Paulo government.

The R$9.8 billion in investments foreseen in the concession contract will be applied to the widening of approximately 133 kilometers (km) of roads, the implementation of 24.6 km of additional lanes and 6.7 km of new marginal roads, the construction of access roads and road infrastructure works, among others. According to estimates by the Ministry of Transportation, the works on Lot 3 will create 143,003 jobs (including direct and indirect jobs and those generated by the income effect).

“Winning the contest reinforces our operations in the South, where we manage highways in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. Lot 3 connects important regions of the state, playing an important role in the flow of industrial and agricultural production to the Port of Paranaguá,” says CCR Rodovias president Eduardo Camargo.

With this result, the CCR Group expands its leadership position in the highway concessions sector in Brazil. With the 569 km of highways in Lot 3 and the 460 km of roads in Rota Sorocabana, the extension of CCR Rodovias' portfolio will increase from 3,600 km to approximately 4,470 km as of April 2025, distributed across six states.

In addition to Paraná, the Company is present in Rio Grande do Sul (CCR ViaSul), Santa Catarina (CCR ViaCosteira), Rio de Janeiro (CCR ViaLagos, ViaRio and CCR RioSP), Mato Grosso do Sul (CCR MSVia) and São Paulo (CCR AutoBAn, CCR RodoAnel, CCR SPVias, CCR RioSP, Renovias and CCR ViaOeste), totaling 12 dealerships.
