Dimensio has acquired industry partner The Box in Apeldoorn. In doing so, Dimensio is further expanding its portfolio as part of its long-term growth strategy. The Box is a specialist in tin packaging and thus Dimensio adds a sustainable product group to its product portfolio. Tony Veer will remain as CEO of The Box and will continue to build a bright future together with Dimensio. Dimensio was guided in this purchase process by Carlo Caria and Joeri Verlinden from Aeternus, our Partner in the Netherlands.
Dimensio is a rapidly growing packaging company with a strong focus on sustainability. The Box fits in very well with this theme because of the product range. Sustainability:
The Box therefore fits well within the strategic focus on sustainability that Dimensio is pursuing. Packaging expert at Aeternus Carlo Caria (Advisor corporate finance) confirms that sustainability is also an important topic within the acquisition world. “ This is also the case for Dimensio packaging, which we were able to support with the purchase of The Box. A purchasing strategy in which sustainability was one of the key elements that their ideal candidate had to meet. Companies are really becoming more aware of it. †
Dimensio also opened its new logistics center in the middle of last year. The new distribution center in Almere reinforces the organisation’s commitment to sustainable and circular entrepreneurship. This building is unique in that it functions completely gas-free, with heat pumps providing the building with heating and cooling. The reservoir of the sprinkler system is filled by rainwater that is collected from the roof. Part of the roof is also equipped with 2,000 solar panels, making the entire building self-sufficient.
Dimensio is fully committed to electrification of internal transport as well as its own Euro 6 trucks. For example, 12 electric vehicles have already been purchased this year. The building is prepared to fulfill both the growth ambition and the sustainability policy for the coming years.

Since the foundation of Dimensio in 1992, the company has grown into a total supplier in the packaging industry. Various companies are now part of the Dimensio family, each with sector-specific expertise. As a packaging specialist, The Box has had the largest range of standard tins in the Benelux since 1998. However, the company is also active on a European level and has sales offices in Great Britain and Finland. Customized tin packaging is also possible, for example in the context of specific promotional campaigns. The company is located in Apeldoorn and will continue to operate at the same address.
