DHT advised Cosmo Clinic in their sale to the swedish Akademikliniken
As a leading player in the Nordic region, Akademikliniken continues its journey towards developing the business into the largest and best for aesthetic surgery and skin treatments in the Nordic region. This acquisition is an important step in the strategy by acquiring Cosmo Clinic in Oslo – Norway’s leading private plastic surgery clinic.
DHT Corporate Services, our Partner in Norway, advised the shareholders of Cosmo Clinic AS in their sale to Akademikliniken AB.
Cosmo Clinic currently has a turnover of approximately SEK 50 million and has in a short time become the leading clinic in Norway. Akademikliniken has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Cosmo Clinic. The three selling shareholders have reinvested a not insignificant part of the purchase price and thus become significant minority shareholders in Akademikliniken.
“My vision was to start an expert clinic with the best plastic surgeons in Norway and we are today one of the largest plastic surgery clinics in Norway. This is because of our impressive team, personal treatment, and our modern clinic of the highest quality. Becoming part of Akademikliniken both as colleagues and shareholders will help us continue our journey of success. We look forward to jointly developing the business into the largest and best for aesthetic surgery and skin treatments” says Tomm Bjaerke, Chief Medical Officer and Daily Leader Cosmo Clinic.
The acquisition of the Cosmo clinic strengthens the Akademikliniken position in the Nordic region and together we now become the clear leader in Norway. In addition to its position in Norway, Cosmo Clinic has impressive profitability and will be a strong addition to the entire group. For the time being, Cosmo Clinic and Akademikliniken Norway will operate today and under two separate brands.
